Everton Manager Marco Silva singled out Alex Iwobi and Fabian Delph for praise after starring in the Blues 3-2 win over Wolves at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
In what was a Premier League classic, the toffees secured maximum points from the Russian and a goal by Alexei Ivorian.
The Nigerian international, who made his first League start, and his home debut for Everton since he joined Arsenal on deadline day, now has two goals and in many games for the Blues.
Speaking after the match
Everton Manager Marco Silva praised the Super Eagles star and another new signing in Fabian Delph.
The midfielder, who joined Severstal from Manchester city in the summer, also made his first start to the team after a hamstring injury, ruling him out of the first three League matches.
“[Delph] has done a very good job and Fabian is still not in the best physical condition, ” the Manager said. “It’ll be even better.” I was a little concerned if he could play 90 minutes in the afternoon because he played 70-75 on Wednesday.
“He was really good on the pitch. If not, I’ll take it to the end. Its quality, in this case, there is no doubt. He showed it, and it’s really important. Not just him, Alex [willow] performed this afternoon.
“It is easier for them than for others. They Know The Premier League. For Fabian and Alex there is nothing new, just playing now in our blue shirt. For players from abroad, it’s harder. It was a very good performance from Fabian, but that’s what I expect.”
